That's why dodging and deflecting the seemingly-trivial psychological warfare is essential in the '20s.
Are we at the point yet where we can refer to 2020, 2021, 2022 and -soon- 2023; as just the '20s ...?
But we must remember, we have the control. At times is appears that we have no options or choices available, but I mean, we really do. And, from time to time, I think we have to remind ourselves of that simple fact.
Get to the Story, Lady.
Okay, on a random day I found myself getting trapped in the YouTube algorithm suggested feed (the auto-play sequence that is the kiss of death when it comes to surrendering your mind to a Svengali). What I was watching was completely, just, how can I put this... I can't remember what it was in particular... I just felt like it melted my brain.
Man. Now that I think about it, I could have been added to some sort of list when I watched Bling Empire. Doh. I'm not linking it. I'm not.
After realizing that I was being sucked in, I immediately stopped and decided to go through YouTube channels I follow and came across Damien Rice. Love him. And I consciously changed the direction of my chill time and took control of my entertainment.
It led me to this authentic and really beautiful private concert. Knocked me off a track I was being forced down and led me back to a video absent of distractions. A man, his guitar, his voice.... and his weeping heart thrown on the boat deck for all of us to experience.
The creator edited nothing and I love that. They're not trying to hold your attention with quick edits... they're creating a digital stamp of that moment in time. And every time his voice lost pitch, my heart was reassured. This is real. He is real and he is sharing his soul with the energies out on that water. We just happen to be lucky enough that someone hit the record button.
