Traveling. Learning. Growing.
I'm just trying to travel through life, one experience at a time.
Since I was a young girl, I just wanted to go; go here, go there, go anywhere. I kid you not, I was driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore. Curiosity led me to books. Books took me on adventures where I discovered different ways to live. These trips I took -via pure ol' imagination- only made me want more.
I applied for my passport at eighteen and, no joke, I felt like the kid in The Pagemaster when he received his library card. I started just going; going here, going there, going anywhere.
When I turned thirty I decided to go to the Netherlands on a 3-month tourist visa with the man that I loved. Fell in love with the Dutchies and decided to become an expat. Got married, made a baby and am now raising my half-American, half-Dutchie, 100% free-ranged toddler.
The last few years has had my travel bug in a holding pattern, and no, COVID has not helped. I found myself not going; not going here, not going there, not going anywhere.
I woke up one random morning in March, 2020 and pedaled to the beach. I sat in the sand, in complete solitude, and watched the sun rise. And it's like I found myself again. I heard a little voice inside my soul that said, "hey kid, where to next?"
